Cuckooing is when criminals take over the home of a vulnerable person to use it for illegal activity — often drug dealing or storing weapons.
Victims are usually elderly, isolated, or struggling with addiction or mental health issues. They may feel too scared or powerless to speak out. 🕵️ Signs to look out for:
• Frequent visitors at odd hours
• New or unfamiliar people staying over
• Resident becoming withdrawn or going missing
• Curtains always closed
• Noise, damage, or signs of intimidation 👮 What we do:
